An exam today

I participated an exam held by Xiangzhou Education Bureau, Zhuhai. The content contains the laws of education and professional knowledge and teaching plan. All the teachers in primary school in our district took part in the exam, which lasted two and half an hours. I came to realize the permenant learning is very important. I can deal with all the problems easily. I think it contributes to my hard work in our daily life. But I still feel a little bit regret that I can keep my handwriting very cleaning and neat. The clue of the teaching part is not very clear. I also made some mistakes in details. If I think over them, I can avoid them. Neverthless, I can use what I learned in the summer vacation to my teaching plan, I feel very happy. In my heart, my teaching plan in the exam paper is wonderful. Of course, the course to be designed comes from the lesson in Book 8, which I taught last year, so it is very familiar with me. That's why I can make a better teaching plan. I believe what my American teacher, Adam said "You can adjust what you do in the next period." I quite agree with him. I do a better job in the teaching plan. For I made it for a second time and I can improve it.

A great festival for Chinese

From August 8th to August 26th, this period will be a great festival for all the Chinese. Because 2008 Beijing Olympic game is being held in Beijing. I watched the open ceremony and all the matches that Chinese athletes are good at. I cheered for them before TV. Until yesterday evening China won 39 gold medal. I believe all the Chinese are proud of the owners of gold medals. But yesterday we also got a piece of bad news that Liu xiang quitted the match because of his injure in his heel. We reget that Liuxiang has to quit the 110meter-hurdle match. I saw the news conference on TV. The main coach and Liu's coach expalined the situation of Liu's injure. The painful expression on Liu's coach lets me sad in my heart. No matter what others said, I firmly believe Liuxiang is a hero in Chinese sports field. All the effort that he made and the achievement that he made are worth of being a great hero. His withdraw is just for a time, although it is a great regret. After all it's a precious opportunity for Chinese to hold an Olympic Game. I believe Liu will show up in the coming competions. He will show the stlye of a king in 110-meter hurdle. Come on, Liu. hope you recover soon.

A happy journey to my hometown

In the past ten days, I and my son have come back to my hometown. We were so happy to see all our relatives and friends. We had hot pots a lot , which are very popular in Sichuan, so that I had a stomachache when I saw a hot pot. Because I live in one city of South China, it is very hot in summer. I seldom eat hot food. That's why I felt painful after I ate hot pots. I once think hot pots are so delicious that I often miss them when I live in my present city. But now I come to realize that I am not used to spice food. I like to eat food with less spice and pepper. It's a little bit pity that delicious hot food can't agree with me.
In the journey, I also visited several friends, whose kids gave me deep impression. Some of them are smart and funny, the others are hard-working and willing to learning anything interesting. My son also learned from them.
The life in Chengdu is relaxing and peaceful. I like the life style there. I hope one day I can live there and enjoy my life in my old age. Haha, maybe in twenty years, I will live there and enjoy my peaceful life with my husband and my good friend.

Parenting

In the summer camp, we talked about Parenting for free talk for the last time. I discuss how to be parents and the diferences between American and Chinese parents. Becky is our intructor. Although she is a 20-year-old college student, she can share her process of growing up with us. She told us what skills her parents teach her and their quality time in her family. from her, in one child's eyes, we get to know how American parents raise their children and how to coach them children. Finally we know the components of a happy family, which contain how to control distractions, how to make discipline, how to set up respect relationship with children and how to cultivate their responsibility. The second part of a happy family consists of how to coach children and the third part is how to use your " quality time". As a Chinese parent, I try to treat my child equally. For me, I come to realize that I learn to be a good parent.

A Puzzle

I am a little bit puzzled because I don't know how to upload my writing to the blog of our summer camp. I like to communicate with my classmates on blog and share my ideas and pictures in the course of lessons. Today I spent the whole morning in figuring out how to upload, but I didn't find a way out. Then I send an-email to my friend and asked her to send the address to me, which can help me upload to the blog. She promised me to send the address to me. I check the e-mail. But I am not sure how to send my writing to the blog. How sad I am. I have to wait until tomorrow I will go back to the summer camp and continue our second-week study. I have to figure out what I should do to upload my writing.
I am a little bit silly to control the computer skill.

My classmates did a better job than me

Yesterday evening, I came back to Zhuhai from Doumen. I turn on my computer and search our training program on internet. When I logged on the website, I was surprised to see so many learners in the program wrote the dairy and upload on the website. I realized everyone in our big class was hard-working and they did a good job. Brave Alex gave me a very deep impression. He made every effort to speak English. He didn't fear lose face. He is a good guy.
I come to realize our trainers' work is so effective and on time. They collect the crucial moment in class or at break or at lunch and upload on the blog. What our trainers did made us know what we look like and act in class and at break. These vivid pictures and unforgetable moment will remain in my memory.
The first week of training comes to end. I am glad to see my family at weekends, but I also look forward to the training the second week and the third week. We are announced that another 7 American trainers will participate the training. I am happy to see more trainers, for they can instruct more Chinese English teachers to make their lesson plan while our original trainers don't need to work so hard. They are very tired to train us in the first week, though we enjoyed their lessons.
I hope they'll have a happy journey and experience in China.

A good beginning

I am lucky to attend Zhuhai Teacher Training Program in Doumen. in the course of the training on July 14, 2008. I am impressed by our American trainers.
First, I feel happy to take part in all kinds of activities in lessons. Happy learning in classes can make kids relaxed and involved in activities. Secondly i think clear instructions in class is very important. Val, our American trainer, gives us a good example. Clear instructions can make classroom activities develop efficiently. Thirdly teamwork of American teachers in class, lectures or free talk give me a deep impression. Fourthly these energetic, passionate, hard-working trainers make English learning relaxing and interesting. I am sure all the teachers in the program enjoy the training. Finally I think full preparations for any lecture are necessary and vital. English in Primary school may be easy, but how to get all the pupils involved in lessons and learn happily is the key to teach English. I feel that efficient ways of teaching are very important. From today's activities or lessons. I get some inspiration and I also learn some practical, helpful and useful ways in teaching. I think July 14, the first day of the training program is good beginning for me. Thank God and let me have so many wonderful American teachers be our trainers. Also, I want to thank them for their hard work.
